Traveling
I am now the proud owner of a new bank account, a new and nicer looking debit card, a Student Line of Credit AND a VISA card which I shall try very hard not to use. Hopefully my UK VISA will come in the mail soon too. Maybe both VISAs will come on the same day and I shall have to dub that day a good day. Things are coming together my friends. Hey, quick question to our seasoned travelers out there. If I go to England for 3 months, then come back for a month, then go back for 3 more months, do I HAVE to get a VISA? I mean, technically thats 2 different visits, each lasting less than 6 months which you dont need a VISA for. If thats the case, then Im going through this whole VISA schmozz for naught. And they better not reject me because if they do I will fight them vigorously. Seriously, if I cant go I will be in a state of utter depression for ages. I am counting on this trip and I can honestly see myself going into mourning for the rest of my life if anything foils this. Once youre rejected once, your chances are even less for being able to be accepted again. This one thing is most likely the only dream that will ever come true for me, so once its gone my life is just bleh. Maybe. I guess well see. If we actually go to Vancouver Island when I get back that might change. I love Vancouver Island so much. If I cant live in Scotland, that would be one of the next choices. After several other COUNTRIES in Europe such as Italy, Greece, Ireland, England, Spain, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Romania, etc. Not necessarily in that order. And then there are all those Asian and Middle Eastern countries that would be fabby to live in too. And African ones. South Americas ok, but Ive been there and that part wasnt too exciting, although I love the basic living. Actually, I love it there. I would take that any time over all this modern convenience-y stuff here. Where the roads are soft enough to walk on and you can walk down the road waving at everyone cuz everyone is outside sipping mate on the porch and the houses are poor but beautiful with home-grown peepers drying on a string and grape vines growing thick with grapes outside the window. The churches are beautiful and old and they leave the doors open cuz its so hot outside there is absolutely no activity for the hours around noon because its siesta time and way too hot outside to do anything. Even the stores close. And you can go to the shack town where the Indians live and give them leftover food and they love it. Except its very sad. But its just so cool! Last time mom went I begged to go along, but then Id have missed too much school apparently. Come on, I was in junior high. Who cares??! There are officially too many places in the world that I want to go to. Actually, there are maybe just the right amount. It is perhaps the time, opportunity and MONEY that is lacking. Yes, I do believe that last point hit on the issue quite well. Anywho, buh-bye now. PLEEEEEEEEEASE email me or call me at work. Thank you.
